Susan is NOT a Medicare provider and cannot accept Medicare as payment.
Please check your behavioral health benefits prior to your session. Co-payments, cost share payments, and self payments can be made electronically, through credit card on file or over the telephone, by check, or with cash at the time of your appointment.

Susan began her professional journey as an educator; the fulfillment of her childhood vision to become a teacher. She graduated from VFCC, now University of Valley Forge, where she collaborated with the education department to develop a community tutoring center. Susan graduated with honors from West Chester University with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and relocated to Texas where she substituted in WFISD, worked at Vernon College, and Midwestern State U, while completing the required counseling internship. In addition to running the business and counseling, Susan consults with businesses and trains staff. She earned Diplomate status with the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and has enjoyed extensive CBT training at the Beck institute.
CardwellCounseling remains dedicated in providing knowledgeable and professional counseling to clients using best practices per Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. Susan has narrowed her practice over the COVID Pandemic and in 2022 during treatment and recovery from breast cancer. Susan enjoys letting her “best girl” Rosie take her for walks and trying to grow a tomato or two in the Texas heat.
